An Active Directory Controller (AD DC) for the domain “MyDomain.local” could not be contacted.

Error Message:

Possible Cause 01: The issue is IP related, if you have follow the task exactly use IPCONFIG on both the server and the client and check that your IP addresses are as follows:

Server: IP – 192.168.1.1 Subnet Mask – 255.255.255.0

Win10: IP – 192.168.1.2 Subnet Mask – 255.255.255.0

If your results are different from the above please send a screenshot to your tutor for further advice.

Possible Cause 02: You may be attempting to join the domain from the host computer rather than the Virtual Machine. See the video below for details.
