No operating system loaded. Your Virtual Machine may be configured incorrectly. Hyper-V

Summary: When attempting to install an OS on a new virtual machine you find the following error message.

Solution: First check that the installation ISO has been mounted correctly.

After confirming go to Action -> Restart. You then need to be very quick to catch the message ‘Press any key to boot from CD/DVD’. See the below video for a demonstration.
